The Pajarito Flying Club is a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization, or social club, that provides its members with affordable access to aviation. The club seeks to create a community around the love of aviation and to develop opportunities for mentorship, education, training, and camaraderie.
Each membership represents an equity share in club assets. Membership lets you enjoy the privileges of ownership while sharing the responsibilities and costs.
Members enjoy a variety of social activities. Some are aviation-centered, like seminars and workshops for ongoing education, fly-ins, hangar-flying, and community outreach events to promote general aviation. Other events are just for fun, like barbecues and the occasional trip to the local microbrewery.
There's always more to learn in the world of aviation, and club membership provides many opportunities for learning. Whether you are starting primary training or working on honing advanced skills, the flying club is a great place to start.
The Pajarito Flying Club is based out of Los Alamos Municipal Airport (LAM) in Los Alamos, NM. Destinations within one hour flight time in the Cardinal include Santa Fe, Taos, Albuquerque, and in Colorado, Alamosa, Pagosa Springs and Durango. The terrain varies from high deserts to mesas to alpine forests with nearby elevations well over 10,000 ft. As a home base for spectacular scenery and world-class recreational destinations, Los Alamos is hard to beat.
